A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
A little clarity for the journey ahead.
Sumo Connect helps passengers and local shared-taxi (Sumo) drivers in Kashmir find each other. Passengers can see nearby Sumos and share a pickup pin. Drivers can see where nearby passengers are waiting.
The passenger and driver apps are coming soon to Google Play and the Apple App Store. We’ll add download links here when they’re available.
Sumo Connect helps you see and be seen. It doesn’t reserve a seat or guarantee a pickup. Confirm the route, destination, seat availability, and fare directly with your driver before boarding.
No. Passengers can share a pickup pin without choosing a destination. Drivers can start sharing their location after approval without setting a usual route. Those details are optional.
The apps use foreground location to show nearby activity. Passengers choose when to publish a pickup pin, and drivers choose when to start and stop sharing. An internet connection and location permission are needed.
