The service
Sumo Connect connects nearby shared-taxi drivers and passengers in Kashmir. It provides discovery and visibility, rather than a seat reservation, transport guarantee or emergency service. Confirm your destination, direction, fare, seat availability and suitability directly before boarding. The current apps do not manage bookings, cancellations, subscriptions or payments.
Your account and eligibility
Use a phone number you control, keep verification codes private and provide accurate profile details. Do not impersonate another person or use someone else’s documents. Drivers must hold valid driving documents, be eligible to provide the service and complete the app’s verification process. App approval does not replace transport licensing, insurance or your own safety checks.
Age eligibility and guardian requirements for passengers remain subject to owner review before the beta release.
Respectful and safe use
Do not harass, discriminate, threaten, defraud, publish misleading pins or misuse another person’s information. Do not scrape locations or attempt to bypass account or verification restrictions. Share your location only when you intend to wait or drive, and stop sharing when finished. Drivers must operate the app safely and avoid interacting with it while driving.
Availability and responsibility
GPS, connectivity, map data and live markers can be delayed or inaccurate. Drivers and passengers remain responsible for deciding whether to travel together. Do not rely on a map marker as a guarantee of safety or pickup. In-app support is not monitored as an emergency response service; contact local emergency services for immediate danger.
Account restrictions and support
Authorized staff can restrict access, revoke sessions or review reports of misuse. Contact hello@sumoconnect.in to ask about an account decision, report a problem or raise a dispute. We may need information to investigate; never send login codes.
Privacy and leaving the service
Read the Privacy Policy for role-specific data handling. You can stop sharing or sign out. Removing the app alone does not delete the account.
Changes and legal review
We publish updates here with a last-updated date. Operator identity, age eligibility, liability provisions, governing law and dispute terms require responsible-owner review before release. This draft does not invent a liability waiver or claim legal compliance.
